About a week ago a few of us, 5 to be exact, went to Grenoble for a bungee jump from the Ponsonnas bridge. It took us about 12 hours by bus to get there, together with some colleagues from our holding company Cronos. And…it took us 14 hours to get back home. All this for a jump that only lasts 5 seconds. Statistics: 4 of us jumped, 1 didn’t.
Was it fun? According to all 50 in the bus, “yes”.
February 25-26 th, Felix Meritis Amsterdam. Design, technology, cool stuff … . Thanks to the Adobe team and Bert Hagendoorn, we were invited to the Adobe VIP Night, we could stay in a nice and comfortable hotel and could follow some inspiring sessions at the festival.
Having diner with some of Belgians finest designers, developers and strategic consultants.
A delegation of Boulevart, Nascom, Endrone, One Agency, HOWEST and 12 bottles of wine. When these ran dry we were ready to conquer the world. Thanks for the nice evening you guys.
Wim Vanhenden, motivator and inspiration for our new upcoming talent.
Guys we love to see you next week, not only as students but as colleagues for a couple of weeks.
Koen, themagician with the virtual “AIR” piano.
Closing down with his “Fly is dead application” gave me some complete new ideas of what is possible with new technology. Thanks for inspiring us and your animated session.
Adrenaline and relaxation were the keywords for our 40 colleagues and their partners. No time to waste; after delicious spaghetti Luc drove us into the woods for a nocturnal dropping. Wind, rain and freezing cold couldn’t spoil our fun; the first team raced to the bottles of jenever like the were chasing rabbits.
At 9 am we gathered around a wooden chalet to meet our guide and had some coffee to get us started. A one hour quad drive was the first on the menu.
Ok, yellow is not our company color, and the extra outfit was not that comfortable. Going through miles of deep mud puddles and beautiful landscapes was great fun for most of us. Occasionally one of the colleagues dropped of his bike, but this couldn’t spoil the fun.
Boys will always be boys
To end up with our outdoor adventures we climbed up some rocks (via ferrata) and enjoyed a deathride from 50 meters altitude. Some of us were highly concentrated, fighting their fear of heights, while other colleagues were fighting their own (paintball) war. To call it a day we went back for some Japanese TAIKO and relaxing massages.
Could you ever imagine Flash, Flex, Php, Notes and .NET developers bowl like pro’s? After 4 games of battling with colorful balls and resistive pins, 6 out of the 35 players got their eternal fame in the top 5.
Sven (score 569) looking at his 5th strike in a row, last time I saw hem smiling like this was at his wedding …
Steve (middle - score 540) and Koen (left - score 475), both top 5 players, even after several Leffe’s …
Frederik (score 484) managed his way into the top 3 of the overall ranking. A steady stream of spairs.
And if you think the competition wasn’t tough, look at these elegant players.
Raf (game score 165) certainly got the first price for his elegant performance.
Even multitasking wasn’t a problem for Bert while going for his individual topscore of 157
We bought a new building, changed our logo, launched a new site and continue as 3 companies operating under Boulevart Group from now on.
To come and ring in this new era with us, we invited our customers, employees and partners for oysters and champagne. It was a nice party and we got some very nice response on our new environment. I would like to thank everyone for creating such a nice atmosphere. As you can see the bubbles were much appreciated.
